Willie Seymour and Ed Seymour in Shts'um'inus

The CURA project has been working on the Bighouse Speaking project since May 2005.

Working closely with Willie Seymour, Ed Seymour, and a number of elders' groups in the Hul'q'umi'num speaking territory in Southern Vancouver Island, we have created four interactive DVDs. Two DVDs cover the importance of the language to the Hul'q'umi'num speaking communities and the current state of the language. Two others specifically cover the Naming Ceremony used in the Bighouse for hundreds of years.
